Bell Peppers
Unlike most members of the Capsicum family, Bell Peppers are sweet and contain only a very mild amount of capsaicin (the compound that give peppers their heat!) They are very high sources of Vitamin C (one cup contains 157% of your daily value) as well as great sources of Vitamin B6, Vitamin A, Folate, Fibre, and many other nutrients. As with most fruits and vegetables, ripe Bell Peppers contain the highest amount of nutrients.
Fresh Taste
Bell Peppers are picked ripe and shipped within one or two days.
Healthy
There are many health benefits to Bell Peppers. We also use little to no chemicals to control pests, unlike field products.
Long Lasting
Kept in a sealed bag, Bell Peppers will remain fresh in your fridge for over a week. They are also easy to freeze. They do not need to be blanched before frozen.
Bell Peppers are rich in nutrients and low in calories, which make them the perfect snack or healthy addition to any meal.
Flavor
Bell Peppers offer a sweet and crisp flavour to many dishes. Combing the sweetest Red Pepper with the more-bitter Green Pepper can create the perfect balance and depth.
Cooking
Bell Peppers can be enjoyed raw or cooked in a variety of ways. Our favourites include raw in Greek Salads or Roasted until charred!
Lifespan
Sealed in a bag, Bell Peppers will last a week or two in the refrigerator. They are picked and shipped within a day or two and therefore last longer than other fruits.
